Three engineers, an empty room in the startup incubator, and no outside funding. That’s how INSEVIS got started in 2011. Today, our S7 controllers are in use in systems all over the world—developed, assembled, and tested in Erlangen.

INSEVIS develops, manufactures, and distributes compact programmable logic controllers for the S7 language environment. Panel PLC, Compact PLC, Peripherals and EDGE devices — programmed with SIMATIC Manager and TIA Portal.
Our devices can be operated alongside existing Siemens components. No one has to switch over completely. Those who use INSEVIS gain a second option—and retain the freedom to choose.
The user program and the programming environment remain the same, while the possibilities expand.
Custom front panels, peripheral configurations, and functions—even in small quantities.
Short supply chains and German manufacturing have paid off during the COVID-19 and semiconductor crises.
The story of INSEVIS begins with the end of another company. Three colleagues decide to start over together—just the three of them, self-funded and owner-managed.
Essentially, nothing has changed in this regard. To this day, INSEVIS is not part of any corporate group. That is precisely what makes the company predictable for its customers.
Jörg Peters, Baasansuren Sodnompil, and Bastian Süß founded INSEVIS at the Erlangen-Tennenlohe Innovation and Startup Center. The company is financed exclusively with its own funds, without any long-term debt.
Insevis Mongolia has become our partner for the development of project planning and configuration software. The collaboration continues to this day.
Less than a year after the company was founded, the first controllers leave production.
With the discontinuation of the C7 modules, there is a need for S7 CPUs with an integrated operator unit. What begins as a replacement evolves into an independent product category through new interfaces and greater compactness.
Award presented by the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. At this point, around 1,200 CPUs have been manufactured, the team comprises six employees, and exports account for approximately one third.
High-resolution touch panels in an IP65-rated sealed metal housing, large memory capacities, display diagonals from 3.4 to 15.6 inches, and know-how protection for customer projects.

We employ specialists with a penchant for meticulousness, who would rather solve a problem properly once than quickly three times.
Owner-managed, self-financed, independent of corporate groups. Product decisions are based on technical criteria, not quarterly targets.
“Made in Germany” is a commitment, not a label. When in doubt, quality takes priority.
Providing value without putting our own turnover first.
Hardware components are manufactured in Germany. Assembly with the display and housing, functional testing and packaging take place in Erlangen. This level of vertical integration also enables customer-specific variants in small quantities.
Audited fourteen times in succession without any deviations.
Each controller is assembled in the configuration ordered and fully tested.
Short supply chains and German manufacturing make INSEVIS a reliable second source.
